More Americans Staying in Hometown
While middle class America left their home towns after Eisenhower built the interstate system, according to a Barna poll, Americans are beginning to return to their roots. Barna researchers found that 59% of Americans never plan to move or aren't sure if they ever will. Interestingly, most people said that "family" or "friends" was the reason that they are living in a particular area rather than "jobs" or "entertainment." However, the younger generations were still more likely to leave their native home and venture to other cities and states, mostly due to education.
