Written By: USJ Staff  |  Posted: Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016

After fifty years of pastoring and teaching, author Bill Finnigan has seen the need for instruction from the scriptures so people can know how to live. His newest book, "Living Skillfully," is a commentary on the book of Proverbs designed to equip the readers with God's wisdom to live their lives.

"We live in a confused, lawless world," said Finnigan, "Many are making a living, but have never learned how to live. This explains, among other things, the rising tide of depression and mental discord. Knowledge abounds, but how to use that knowledge effectively is another matter, that's where wisdom comes in to play. The Book of Proverbs (gems of wisdom from God) promotes the skill and common sense to gain God-given success."

Bill Finnigan has served as a college professor, and director of a Biblical counseling center college professor, and director of a Biblical counseling center as well as a pastor of several churches in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Moreover, Bill Finnigan has also been a regular contributor to the Eau Claire Journal. He is the author of other books including: "Healing for the Mind" and "Forgiven to Forgive." "Living Skillfully" is available online from both Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
