Why the Catholicism and Evangelicalism Debate?

The following excerpt from WorthyNews.com is written concerning Roman Catholicism and Evangelicalism. What is extremely noteworthy in reading it is the attempt to differentiate between what has historically been the position of Catholicism (Roman) and what is termed Evangelicalism. Read it with this in mind:

No one becomes Christian on his or her own! Is that clear? No one becomes Christian by him or herself ...
