Killing Civilians by the Police

As everyone knows, there is much controversy swirling about over whether the police are justified in killing a disobedient person who they are investigating. No, they are not justified unless they are clearly defending themselves from a threat to their life. The pictures of a man running away from a police officer who was checking out his credentials, then shot and killed him, are an act of murder by the officer (if this is what happened). Nowhere in the Bible does taking the life of a person in the name of the law find justification unless that person has himself taken a life or committed a capital offense. Any reason less than this is an act of murder in the name of the state. "Whoso sheds man's blood, by man shall his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God He made man (Genesis 9:6)."
