How is this different than receiving a jury duty notice?

             It is the lot of almost everyone to serve on a jury at least once in their life. Most know the basics of this process. In order to gather a jury, letters are sent to random citizens making them aware that they must respond and show up at the courthouse at an appointed time.  If selected by the court, one will have to attend as a juror at the trial until the case is decided.  There is financial reciprocation, and by law, the juror's employment cannot be affected by his or her service.
